What Is New Zealand Red Wine?

New Zealand red wine is red wine grown across the country's cool climate regions, from the far south of the South Island to the warmer bays of the North. Above all, it means Pinot Noir.

Pinot Noir is famously fussy, thriving only in the right cool spots, and in just a few decades New Zealand has become one of its happiest and most exciting new homes.

How to Serve New Zealand Red Wine

Serve New Zealand Pinot Noir lightly chilled, around 14 to 16 degrees, which lifts its fresh fruit and perfume. A larger, rounded glass helps the aromas open up.

Fuller Hawke's Bay reds are at their most expressive a touch warmer, around 16 to 18 degrees, with a little time to breathe.
