Langhorne Creek Wines: Soft Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec from South Australia

Soft, generous Shiraz and Cabernet with plenty of fruit and gentle tannins: wine from Langhorne Creek has filled Australian glasses for more than 160 years, often without the region's name on the label.

What Makes Langhorne Creek Wine So Special?

Langhorne Creek lies on the flat plains between the Bremer and Angas rivers, about an hour's drive south east of Adelaide and close to the shores of Lake Alexandrina.

Frank Potts planted the first vines here in the 1850s and founded Bleasdale, still guided by his descendants today. For generations, growers diverted winter floodwater from the Bremer River onto their vineyards, and much of the district's fruit went into well known blends from larger wineries.

Red wine makes up more than two thirds of our range from this wine region, led by Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, with whites, rosé and a little sparkling alongside.
