Bodegas Olabarri, also known as Viña Olabarri, was founded in 1985 by Pablo Olabarri Bikandi, who developed a profound love for wine during his long stays in Haro, a town in the Rioja region of Spain.
This passion led him to acquire and restore a 19th-century winery in Anguciana. By 1989, he expanded the operations with a modern facility in Haro to accommodate the production and aging of a wider range of wines
The winery has grown under the stewardship of Pablo's son, Luis Olabarri Bikandi, and winemaker Fernando Salgado, who has been with the winery for over 20 years. The vineyards span three locations, with red grapes grown in Anguciana and Fuenmayor, and Viura white grapes in Cenicero.
They cultivate 40 hectares of vineyards, half of which are owned and half rented, with some being organic
