Colour: Opaque black-purple with a narrow violet rim.

Aroma: Classic Fonseca nose with dense, brooding aromas of ripe blackberry, cassis, and fig, wrapped in notes of mint, violets, dark chocolate, and a subtle touch of balsamic and wild herbs.

Palate: Full-bodied and intensely concentrated, with powerful yet polished tannins. The palate is rich in black fruit, spice, and licorice, lifted by fresh acidity and supported by a long, complex finish with layers of dark plum and graphite.

Cellaring: Exceptional aging potential. Best cellared for 10–15 years before drinking. Will age gracefully over 40–50 years.
