Tasting Notes: Bleasdale has been growing Malbec since the late 1800’s and produced the regions first Malbec table wine in 1961. This wine is dark purple with intense aromas of violets, blackberries, plums and clove spice. Drinking well now, but with the potential to be a long term cellaring prospect if desired.
Serving Temperature: 16–18°C. Best served slightly below room temperature to highlight the dark fruit, spice and fine tannin structure.
Decanting: Recommended for around 1 hour. Decanting will help open the wine’s aromas and soften the tannins. Some sediment may naturally form with bottle age.
Cellaring Potential: Drink now or cellar until around 2041. This wine has excellent ageing potential and will gain complexity with time.
Food Pairing: Lamb on the spit, beef ragout (winery recommendations), slow-cooked beef, grilled steak, roast lamb, smoky barbecue meats, or mature hard cheeses.
