A blend of three varieties growing alongside each other in the Frankland River wine growing region to the north of the Great Southern – 60% Pinot Gris, 30% Gewürztraminer and 10% Riesling. A small proportion of the pinot gris spent 6 months in French oak puncheons. As expected, the nose is a complex combination of exotic, citrus and stone fruits with fragrant, lifted floral notes. The palate repeats the complex blend of fruit flavours with hints of spice in the mid palate leading to a long citrus finish. The wine will improve with careful cellaring over a five year period.

As a delicate, neutral wine, pinot grigio pairs best with light, fresh flavours. Think summery dishes like salads, chicken and seafood, as well as light pasta dishes and risottos, and avoid heavy sauces in favour of creams and vinaigrettes.
