On the nose, expect a bouquet of ripe red fruits like black cherry and raspberry, with underlying earthy notes, including forest floor, subtle spices, and hints of oak (vanilla, clove, or smoke) due to barrel aging.

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and robust with concentrated flavors of dark fruit, such as blackberries and plums, alongside earthy undertones and a touch of spice. The tannins are firm and well-structured, adding a bit of grip, while the acidity keeps the wine fresh and balanced.

The finish is long, with the tannins lingering and a slight minerality providing a clean and refreshing end.

Paired with grilled meats, especially beef, lamb or venison. Mushroom risotto, charcuterie and strong, aged cheese.
