Chambers Rutherglen Tawny is a fortified wine made in a traditional style, offering a complex balance of aged character, sweetness, and nutty richness. It showcases warm oxidative notes from barrel aging, layered with sweet dried fruits and spice.

Appearance: Deep amber to tawny brown with orange-rimmed edges. Clarity: Clear with a viscous appearance due to higher sugar and alcohol content Legs: Thick, slow-moving legs in the glass.

Aroma: Raisins, dates, dried figs. Toasted nuts (walnuts, almonds), caramel, toffee. Rancio character (oxidized nuttiness), vanilla, old oak, and a touch of spice (nutmeg, clove).

Palate: Sweet (typical of tawny-style fortified wines) Flavours: Butterscotch, spiced fruitcake, orange peel, treacle, hazelnuts Texture: Silky, warming, and luscious mouthfeel Balance: Well-integrated alcohol and sugar, balanced by a hint of acidity and oxidative complexity Finish: Long, nutty, and sweet with lingering warmth and spice.

Serving Temperature: Best served slightly chilled: 12–16°C.

Decanting: Not necessary. This wine is already well-aged and oxidized in barrel. It is stable and ready to pour directly from bottle.
