Appearance: Bright ruby with purple hues.

Aroma: Aromas of black cherry in spirits. Hints of laurel and white pepper Earthy notes of topsoil, underbrush, and soy sauce. Deeper scents of dried fig and cherry.

Palate: Flavours of dark chocolate, coffee grounds, and bitter herbs. Chalky tannins that cling through the finish. Brackish palate with a beautiful persistence.

This robust and complex wine pairs excellently with aged cheeses, main dishes featuring red meat, game dishes such as wild boar or venison and rich pasta dishes with meat-based sauces. Recommended to decant for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the wine to open up and reveal its full bouquet and complexity before serving between 16-18ºC.
