Perhaps skewed away from the imagined Burgundian spirit, but boy, how good are Italian-inspired aromatics in a Pinot. Bergamot orange, sour cherry, black cherry too, almonds, freshly roasted coffee bean, a bit of bloody tension, a tiny bit of balsamic seasoning and red brick dust tingling sensation. The tannins are powdery\/silty in nature, carrying the flavour concentration very well in this light-bodied Pinot, leaving behind cherry pip, fresh pomegranate juice and a warming spice vibration. All still pretty tight; needs time. 94+pts.
