Special Release Verdelho is a blend of two of the best parcels of Verdelho fruit of the vintage. This wine was sourced from the Pokolbin Hills and Stevens vineyards which are both situated at the southern end of Pokolbin, at the base of the Brokenback range. The 2022 vintage, in many ways, was a mirror of 2021. With above average rainfall in the winter months, the vines were set up perfectly for the growing season. Cooler temperatures over the summer period meant that there was no rush to begin harvest and we began about seven to ten days later than normal. All of the fruit was in remarkable condition with intense fruit flavours coupled with high natural acidity. Harvest took place in the early hours of the morning when the fruit is at its coolest. The grapes were lightly pressed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures before bottling early to maintain freshness.
An unwooded, early drinking style, the nose has an abundance of tropical fruits with an underlining spice. The palate is well balanced with a juicy fruit sweetness balanced by a bright acidity.

Australia Post will deliver Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00 am - 5.00 pm. Most of our customers give instructions to leave the wine in a safe place as this is by far the easiest way to ensure you get your wine on time. If the person accepting the delivery is out and there are no specific delivery instructions, Australia Post will leave a card indicating that they were unable to deliver your wine. Your case/cases will be returned to your nearest Post Office for your collection. A reminder card will be sent to you after five days. Cases not collected within 14 days of the initial attempted delivery will be returned to us and a YourWines™ Customer Service agent will contact you to arrange re-delivery and payment of re-delivery fees if required. Please note that we cannot accept instructions to contact you as Australia Post delivery couriers cannot call before delivery.
YourWines™ will not deliver to anyone less than 18 years of age. If there is any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, our delivery drivers are obliged to request some form of photographic ID. If that recipient is unable to produce appropriate ID then the delivery driver will be unable to leave the wine.
We deliver wine to all states in Australia, except for the Northern Territory. YourWines™ will not deliver to areas that are classified by the Australian Government as dry zones or Australian Islands that are classified as in International Waters.
