Early season but cracking year for Pinot in the Yarra Valley. Slow ripening, terrific flavour development, highly perfumed vintage.
Vibrant red colour. Deeply scented red and dark fruits, wood spice and violets. Ripe, pure, generous, perfumed and textural.
A combination of whole berry and whole bunch is tipped into open fermenters. 10-15 days of maceration and fermentation. Pressed, settled overnight and then filled to barrel by gravity. Allowed to mature for 8 months at 16°C in 225L and 500L French oak casks.
